CME Center: Scientific Assembly Audio Podcast CME Program

ACEP-EMedHome.com is pleased to present selected audio podcast lectures from the annual ACEP Scientific Assembly. Each lecture is available for category 1 AMA/PRA CME credit and category 1 ACEP CME credit. Each podcast lecture is available for downloading to your iPod or preferred MP3 device.

As of January 1, 2008, new ACCME rules mandate that all required ACCME information must be transmitted to the physician prior to beginning the CME activity. The audio podcast CME lectures may be found by clicking the ViewPodcast List button.

ACCME accreditation statement

The American College of Emergency Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. The American College of Emergency Physicians designates this continuing medical education activity (i.e. each podcast lecture) for a maximum of 1.0 hours in Category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spends in the educational activity. All faculty participating in continuing medical education programs sponsored by the American College of Emergency Physicians are expected to disclose to the audience any real or apparent conflicts of interest to the content of their presentations. This CME activity is approved by the American College of Emergency Physicians for 1.0 hours of ACEP category 1 credit.

Target Audience & Objectives

This activity is intended for physicians with a focus on emergency medicine providers. Upon completion of this CME activity, participants will be able to apply the latest advances, research, and consensus expert opinion in clinical diagnosis, management, and treatment necessary for the practice of Emergency Medicine.

Technical Requirements

Participation in this CME activity requires a computer with an active broadband connection to the internet and the ability to listen to audio files (appropriate software and speakers), a current Web Browser and Macromedia Flash 6+.

To complete this self-study educational activity, proceed as follows:

  4. Open the lecture syllabus, if available.
  5. Click on the "podcast" link and listen to the lecture.
  6. Read, complete, and submit answers to the CME exam questions and evaluation survey.
  7. View and download/print your CME certificate by going to the CME tracker section upon successful completion of the CME exam.

Audio podcast lectures from the annual ACEP Scientific Assembly will remain available for CME credit for two years from time of posting.
